Almost two years into this unbelievable journey, I find myself searching deeper than ever to truly see what God is asking of me with this film project. Would God have brought our project this far only to say no? Have I done everything in my power to bring this project to fruition? Have I truly trusted God with everything in my heart that He will bless this film project in His time?
Mixed emotions always hit me when I read of protestant churches/Independent faith films being able to raise money to make a movie or fund a project. This happens so often. I’m thrilled for them to be able to carry on a torch of zeal and bring about strength in their congregations to reach such ambitious goals. What a great example they are. On the other hand, it’s hard knowing that in the Catholic Church, such fire and zeal is hard to come by in most of our parishes. Yes, the financial goals that you are trying to achieve should be realistic, but many times than not they are VERY attainable. Even the simple task of asking Catholics to ‘like’ a project’s Facebook fan page requires moving mountains at times. Why is that? Why can’t we get Catholics to come together and get excited about a project?
Not only is it a goal of mine to make a film that will bring about a positive message of hope and forgiveness to this nation, but to find a way to ignite Catholics to be on fire for the church once more. So many people find time to criticize others on their efforts and forget to look at themselves at times. What have I done to make a difference? Do I just sit back and complain from the comfort of my own pew? Those are valid questions to ask ourselves. Let’s stand together – for ONCE!
Will the initiative of this film project come to an end soon? After almost two years in this journey…I don’t know. Have I failed? No. How can I say that after all the doors that God has opened for the project? Did we fail? Have we failed as a collective community, maybe? Should we give up? If I have learned anything on the amazing journey that God has led me through, it is that He is in complete control of EVERYTHING if you trust Him with all your heart and mind. He will make the right decisions for you and your project at every step of the way. It is only when we deviate from His path that we start to question why things aren’t going our way. Well, they shouldn’t be going our way…they need to go HIS way!!
Our world is being consumed by a culture of death that wants to destroy families, kill the unborn, and remove GOD from our lives. The Devil will ALWAYS be on the front lines attempting to devour those that dare stand against him. But we CAN’T be afraid! God will always be on our side.
We will keep pushing forward with this project. All in God’s time will work out. If there is one thing I can do right is to make God laugh by telling him my plans – which I do often. Maybe a KickStarter campaign is on the horizon. We will keep praying and let God provide us with the answers and direction!
Thank you so much for all your support and prayers! Keep them coming! Amen!
God bless,

I hope this make you feel better even though it will not make you reach your goal but my daughter, the one who loves theater, is giving her Lenten Jar money to your project.
4 days left and the truth will come to it that something will be looked at. It looks the website amount “raised” seems to not be moving.
